Vascular diseases account for a majority of the morbidity and mortality in the United States. In addition to the commonly appreciated stroke, myocardial infarction and venous thromboembolism, the field of vascular medicine encompasses a broad spectrum of arterial, venous and lymphatic disorders, common and uncommon. Vascular medicine also encompasses associated medical disorders and metabolic conditions, including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, and hypercoagulable states. This diversity and complexity of vascular diseases requires knowledgeable practitioners of vascular medicine to provide cost- effective care. This conference showcases major investigators and opinion leaders in vascular medicine. View published poster

The field of Cardiac MRI is rapidly evolving and clinicians/technologists do not know how to apply or use some of the newer techniques available that can improve patient care, research, and education. To close the gap, learners 'need' to know how to practically implement more advanced imaging sequences and better understand how to use them in practice. This activity will educate learners through lectures and courses at the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) 23rd Annual Scientific Sessions on machine learning, new perfusion technique, and contrast methods for examining future cardiovascular risk, as well as other new technologies in the field. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with experts in the field to learn about new technology. View poster presented.
